A Family Health Fair presented by Senator Michael Ranzenhofer will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Amherst Senior Center, 370 John James Audubon Parkway, Amherst. Free and open to the public, the event is being held in conjunction with Assemblyman Ray Walter and Assemblywoman Jane Corwin, and is co-sponsored? by Kaleida Health.
More than 85 organizations will offer health information, screenings and services during the event. Healthy highlights include a balance and fall risk assessment, blood pressure checks, a bone density heel scan, cholesterol screening, foot screening, glucose testing and hearing screenings. Other screenings and services will include a medicine/prescription review, depression screening, Prevnar vaccinations, prostate cancer screening, skin cancer screening, the Vial of Life Program and more!
